I’m Kathy Smith—born in a large family and raised in Butler County. I moved away for 20 years. I supported soldiers and their families through the government jobs I held in Germany, Washington state, California, Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia. I know what military families and soldiers sacrifice to defend our democracy. I took the oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States every time I moved to a new military base and every time I advanced to a new job.
Our state government needs more advocates for the Constitution of the United States, for laws, The People, for unions, workers, families and local businesses.
I am running as a write-in candidate for the 11th District, House of Representatives to ensure every voter has a representative dedicated to serving the community’s real needs. My priorities will be:
1. Healthcare that’s affordable and timely based on decisions made between a healthcare provider and the patient.
2. Education that’s accessible and affordable for everyone, whether they want to advance to the highest degree they choose, or go to technical school.
3. Housing that offers people the dignity and pride of home ownership in a safe and clean neighborhood.
